Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 4/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1025 hPa over the Tasman Sea will remain near stationary this week. A trough in the middle levels of the atmosphere will move across from the east over central and eastern parts during the early and middle part of the week then move away to the northeast late in the week.
Forecast for the rest of MondayPossible isolated showers in the far west. Isolated showers in the far northeast, extending over the Northeast Pastoral, Flinders and south of the Northwest Pastoral districts during the afternoon. Possible isolated afternoon thunderstorms in the Northeast Pastoral. Hot with moderate east to northeast winds and local afternoon coastal sea breezes.Tuesday 5 MarchIsolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over the Northeast Pastoral and Flinders districts, mostly during the afternoon. Hot with light to moderate east to northeast winds and local afternoon coastal sea breezes.Wednesday 6 MarchIsolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over the Northeast Pastoral and Flinders districts, extending into the Mid North and the far east of the Northwest Pastoral during the afternoon. Hot with light to moderate east to northeast winds and local afternoon coastal sea breezes.Thursday 7 MarchIsolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over the Northeast Pastoral, Flinders and Mid North districts and the far east of the Northwest Pastoral. Hot with moderate southeast to northeast winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday morning until midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 2 mm, reaching 2 to 10 mm in the north of the Northeast Pastoral district. Falls of 10 to 20 mm are possible with thunderstorms.Friday until SundayPossible isolated showers over most districts, becoming confined to the far southwest on Sunday. Hot with moderate northeast to southeast winds, turning milder southerly in the far west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
