Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 2/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1029 hPa near Tasmania will move slowly eastwards to be centred over the Tasman Sea late on Sunday and then remain near stationary until late in the week. A trough in the middle levels of the atmosphere will move across from the east over central and eastern parts during the early and middle part of the week then another middle level trough will move across from the west late in the week.
Forecast for the rest of SundayPatchy rain in the far west. Possible isolated thunderstorms near the western border. Fine elsewhere. Warm to hot with moderate east to northeast winds, fresh at times and local afternoon coastal sea breezes.Monday 4 MarchPatchy rain in the far west. Isolated showers developing in the far northeast, possibly extending over the remainder of the Northeast Pastoral and Flinders districts during the afternoon. Hot with moderate east to northeast winds and local afternoon coastal sea breezes.Tuesday 5 MarchIsolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over the Northeast Pastoral and Flinders districts, mostly during the afternoon. Possible isolated showers in the far northwest. Hot with light to moderate east to northeast winds and local afternoon coastal sea breezes.Wednesday 6 MarchIsolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over the Northeast Pastoral and Flinders districts, extending into the Mid North and the east of the Northwest Pastoral. Hot with light to moderate east to northeast winds and local afternoon coastal sea breezes. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning until midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 2 mm, reaching 2 to 10 mm in the far northeast and far west. Falls of 10 to 20 mm are possible with thunderstorms.Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers in the east and far west extending throughout. Hot with moderate east to northeast winds, turning milder southerly in the far west later.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Sunday.Product IDS10033
