MELBOURNE - Mar 2/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system south of Adelaide extends a ridge into southern New South Wales. A slow-moving trough lies over the state's northeast, with the inland trough becoming disconnected from the coastal trough and weakening as the high becomes dominant. The high will drift slowly east over the following few days, maintaining a humid onshore airstream across most of the state. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayRain areas over the northeast quarter, locally heavy along the coast and on the east of the northern ranges. Showers about the remainder of the coast and adjacent ranges, isolated in the south. Possible thunderstorms about the northeast near the Queensland border. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. East to southeasterly winds, fresh to strong along the central and northern coasts.Sunday 3 MarchScattered showers about the northern coast and ranges, locally heavy. Isolated showers across the remainder of northern districts, and about the central and southern coasts. Fine over the southern and central inland. East to southeasterly winds.Monday 4 MarchScattered showers about the northern coast. Isolated showers along the remainder of the coast and adjacent ranges, and across the northern inland. Fine through the southern inland. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 5 MarchScattered showers on the north coast and eastern ranges.
