Weather Situation A high pressure system south of the Bight will drift slowly eastwards today and will pass across Tasmania during the weekend. The high will be centred just to the east of Tasmania on Monday. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers over Gippsland and about the central Victorian coast, contracting to East Gippsland by the afternoon. Fine and mainly sunny over the remainder of the State. Cool to mild with moderate south to southeast winds, fresh to strong at times about the coast and reaching gale force over Alpine areas.Fire Danger - Moderate to high reaching very high in the northwest.Saturday 2 MarchFine apart from isolated showers over East Gippsland. Mainly sunny in the north and west. Mild to warm with moderate east to southeast winds, fresh and gusty about the coast.Sunday 3 MarchFine.
