Weather Situation A high pressure system south of the Bight will move eastwards to be southeast of Tasmania by tonight. The high will be located in the south Tasman Sea on Thursday and Friday and will move towards New Zealand on Saturday. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers in the east and about parts of the coast with the chance of isolated afternoon thunderstorms near the eastern ranges. Warm and mainly sunny in the north, milder and partly cloudy in the south. Light to moderate south to southeast winds, freshening about parts of the coast.Fire Danger - Generally high.Thursday 21 FebruaryPartly cloudy with isolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon. Remaining dry over the far west. Generally warm with moderate east to southeast winds, becoming fresh and gusty about the coast. Winds shifting east to northeast inland during the day.Friday 22 FebruaryPartly cloudy with isolated showers and thunderstorms over most districts, mainly in the afternoon. Generally warm with moderate easterly winds, fresh and gusty about the coast.Saturday 23 FebruaryFine apart from isolated showers in the east.
