MELBOURNE - Feb 15/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A slow moving high pressure system is centred just to the southeast of Tasmania. The high will drift slowly eastwards during the weekend. The next low pressure trough will reach far southwest Victoria late Monday, then will move eastwards across the State during Tuesday, reaching the far east at night as a new high forms south of the Bight. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayLocal morning fog in the south. Isolated showers and thunderstorms mainly during the afternoon and evening. Generally warm to hot with light northeasterly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Fire Danger - Generally high.Sunday 17 FebruaryFine and mainly sunny. Warm to hot with light to moderate north to northeasterly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Monday 18 FebruaryFine and mainly sunny.
