Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 15/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough lies over western New South Wales while a high pressure system near Tasmania extends a ridge along the coast. The trough is expected to have dominant influence on the weather across the state over the next few days.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers about the coast and adjacent ranges, tending scattered on the northern coast and possibly extending to the North West Slopes and Plains. Possible thunderstorms on the far southern ranges, northern ranges and North West Slopes and Plains. Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the far west, possibly extending across the southern inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Saturday 16 FebruaryIsolated showers about the coast and adjacent ranges, tending scattered on the far north coast with the chance of thunderstorms in the north . The chance of showers and thunderstorms in the far west and on the Alps,. Partly cloudy in the remainder . Southeast to northeasterly winds.Sunday 17 FebruaryIsolated showers about the coast and adjacent ranges, tending scattered in the north with the chance of thunderstorms. Fine in the west. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Monday 18 FebruaryIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the northeast. Showers tending scattered near the coast, Partly cloudy in the remainder. East to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 19 FebruaryIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the east.
