Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 13/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow moving high pressure system is centred west of Tasmania and extends a ridge to the Tasman Sea. The high will drift eastwards over the next few days and will be centred over the Tasman Sea on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayMorning fog patches in the south. Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Areas of smoke haze in the east. Warm to hot with light to moderate northeasterly winds but fresh east to southeasterly winds about the coast.Fire Danger -  Generally high.Friday 15 FebruaryMorning fog patches in the south. Isolated showers and thunderstorms near the ranges, mainly in the east. Warm to hot with light to moderate east to northeasterly winds and fresh afternoon coastal seabreezes.Saturday 16 FebruaryFine apart from isolated showers and thunderstorms about the eastern ranges during the afternoon and evening. Warm to hot with light easterly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Sunday 17 FebruaryFine apart from isolated showers about the eastern ranges during the afternoon and evening. Warm to hot with light to moderate east to northeasterly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Thursday.Product IDV10310
