Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 12/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system south of the Bight extends a ridge along the southern New South Wales coast. A low pressure trough extends through western Queensland and New South Wales, and will remain a feature of the region as the high moves gradually east during the next few days.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers about the northern coast and adjacent ranges and slopes. Isolated showers and thunderstorms across the western inland. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms about the southern Alps. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Thursday 14 FebruaryThe chance of showers about the coast north from Nowra, tending scattered on the northern coast. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the far west, and about the western slopes of the southern ranges. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Friday 15 FebruaryIsolated showers about the coast and adjacent ranges, tending scattered on the northern coast. Possible thunderstorm over the far southern ranges. Isolated afternoon showers in the far west, with the chance of thunderstorms near the South Australian border. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Saturday 16 FebruaryIsolated showers apart from the northern inland. Showers tending scattered on the northern coast with possible thunderstorms.
