Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 10/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system to the southwest of the Bight will move slowly east this week to be located south of Adelaide on Thursday, then over the Tasman Sea next weekend.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine apart from the chance of isolated showers in the far northwest. Cool overnight in the southeast, mild to warm elsewhere. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds.Monday 11 FebruaryCloud increasing from the northwest with possible isolated showers developing northwest of a line Ceduna to Moomba by the end of the day. Possible thunderstorms in the far northeast and west of about Fowlers Bay. Fine elsewhere. Mild to warm in the south, hot to very hot in the north. Light to moderate southeasterly winds, fresh to strong about the coasts.Tuesday 12 FebruaryCloudy with possible isolated showers northwest of a line about Streaky Bay to Leigh Creek. Possible thunderstorms across the far north and west of about Ceduna. Mild to warm about the coasts and hot inland. Light to moderate southeasterly winds and fresh to strong afternoon sea breezes.Wednesday 13 FebruaryFine apart from isolated showers and thunderstorms over the Flinders and Pastoral districts east of about Coober Pedy. Warm to hot. Light to moderate southeasterly winds and fresh afternoon sea breezes.Thursday 14 FebruaryIsolated showers and thunderstorms over eastern districts north of about Keith. Warm to hot with moderate southeast to northeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon until midnight Thursday will be highly variable due to the unstable weather conditions forecast this week. Up to 2 mm can be expected over agricultural areas with 2 to 10 mm over the Pastoral districts. Thunderstorms are likely to produce slightly higher totals.Friday until SundayIsolated showers and thunderstorm continuing over the east of the State. Warm to hot conditions becoming more humid during the period. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds turning northerly at the weekend.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
