Weather Situation A slow moving high pressure system is centred south of the Bight and extends a ridge eastwards across Tasmania to the Tasman Sea. By Wednesday, the high will be centred just west of Tasmania and will move slowly over the Tasman Sea on Thursday. Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers over east Gippsland, clearing overnight. Isolated showers and thunderstorms possible over the far eastern ranges during the afternoon and evening. Fine elsewhere. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Monday 11 FebruaryFine apart from the chance of isolated showers over the southeast and along the coast during the morning, also about the far eastern ranges with possible thunderstorms during the afternoon. Mild in the south, but warm over the north. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds tending fresh easterly near the coast.Fire Danger - Generally high.Tuesday 12 FebruaryFine apart from morning fog patches in the south and the chance of isolated showers over the far eastern ranges during the afternoon. Mild in the south but warm over the north. Light to moderate southeasterly wind tending fresh east to southeasterly near the coast.Wednesday 13 FebruaryFine apart from morning fog patches in the south and the chance of isolated showers over the far eastern ranges during the afternoon.
