Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 9/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system remains over the eastern Tasman Sea. Another slow moving high pressure system will be centred south of the Bight by later today and will extend a ridge eastwards across Tasmania to the Tasman Sea from Monday. By Wednesday the high will be centred west of Tasmania with a ridge still extending into the Tasman Sea.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers over southern and mountain districts contracting to Gippsland during the afternoon. Fine and mainly sunny over the northern plains. Generally cool in the south, but warmer north of the divide with moderate to fresh southerly winds.Fire Danger -  High to very high.Monday 11 FebruaryFine apart from isolated showers over the southeast and along the coast mainly during the morning. Mild in the south, but warmer over the north. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds tending fresh easterly near the coast.Tuesday 12 FebruaryFine apart from the chance of isolated showers over the eastern ranges during the afternoon. Mild in the south but warm over the north. Light to moderate southeasterly wind tending fresh east to southeasterly near the coast.Wednesday 13 FebruaryFine apart from the chance of isolated showers over the eastern ranges during the afternoon. Warm to hot with light to moderate easterly winds, fresh about the coast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Sunday.Product IDV10310
