Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 6/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough near a line Keith to Whyalla at 5 pm will move northeastwards to be near Yunta to Tarcoola late Wednesday evening and then move only very slowly northeastwards over the next few days. A weak front will move across southern coasts on Saturday, then a new high will ridge in south of the Bight on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayA slight chance of isolated thundery showers over far western and southern coasts, fine elsewhere. Hot with moderate northwest winds, ahead of a milder southerly change near a line Keith to Whyalla late afternoon, reaching Yunta to Tarcoola late evening.Thursday 7 FebruaryFine apart from the chance of isolated thundery showers over the northern agricultural area and the far south and west of the pastoral districts, mainly in the afternoon. Mild to warm about the southern agricultural area, grading to very hot over the far northeast. Moderate to fresh southerly winds over the agricultural area, extending across the far west and south of the pastoral districts. Light to moderate northeast to northwest winds elsewhere.Friday 8 FebruaryFine apart from the chance of isolated thundery showers, mainly in the afternoon over the Northwest Pastoral and Flinders districts and of the the south of the Northeast Pastoral. Mild to warm about the southern agricultural area, grading to very hot in the far northeast. Mainly moderate southwest to southerly winds, tending northeast to northerly in the far north.Saturday 9 FebruaryThe chance of isolated afternoon thundery showers in the far northwest corner. Isolated showers developing about southern coasts and ranges from late morning. . Mild to warm about the southern agricultural area, grading to very hot in the far northeast. Moderate to fresh southerly winds, tending west to southwest in the southeast and light to moderate northeast to northwest in the far north. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday morning to midnight Saturday are expected to be insignificant.Sunday 10 FebruaryThe chance of isolated showers in the far northwest. Possible isolated light morning showers about southern and western coasts. Mild to warm over the southern agricultural area, grading to hot to very hot in the far northeast. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday morning to midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 2 mm.Monday until WednesdayPossible isolated light morning showers about southern coasts Monday morning then fine.
