MELBOURNE - Feb 5/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A slow-moving high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea, extends a ridge to the northern New South Wales coast. A low pressure trough is expected to move across the state during the weekend as the high approaches New Zealand and the ridge over the northeast weakens. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayScattered showers along the northern coast and adjacent ranges, easing. The chance of showers and thunderstorms on western slopes of the southern ranges. Mostly clear elsewhere. Northeast to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 6 FebruaryIsolated showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges, tending scattered in the far north. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northeast to southeasterly winds.Thursday 7 FebruaryIsolated showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northeast to northwesterly winds.Friday 8 FebruaryIsolated showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges, and the chance of showers in the far southeastern inland. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
