Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 4/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea will move slowly eastwards during this week. A trough will move across southern and western parts of the State on Wednesday, and will become slow moving over the Pastoral districts on Thursday and Friday. Weak fronts will move to the south of the State from mid week.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayFine and mostly sunny. Mild to warm near southern coasts, hot elsewhere. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds shifting southerly in the far west during the evening. Moderate afternoon coastal sea breezes.Wednesday 6 FebruaryFine with increasing high cloud. Generally hot with moderate northerly winds ahead of a milder southerly wind change extending over western and southern parts of the State during the day, extending into the south of the Flinders and Pastoral districts in the late afternoon or evening.Thursday 7 FebruaryFine and partly cloudy. Mild to warm about the southern agricultural area, hot elsewhere. Mainly moderate southwest to southerly winds, tending northeast to northerly in the far north.Friday 8 FebruaryFine apart from possible isolated showers over the Lower South East and Kangaroo Island. Mild to warm about the southern agricultural area, hot to very hot elsewhere. Mainly moderate southwest to southerly winds, tending northeast to northerly in the far north. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday morning to midnight Friday are expected to be insignificant.Saturday until MondayFine apart from the chance of isolated showers in the far north, and about the Lower South East and Kangaroo Island. Continuing mild to warm about the southern agricultural area, hot to very hot in the north. Mainly moderate south to southeasterly winds, tending northeast to northerly in the far north.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Tuesday.Product IDS10033
