MELBOURNE - Feb 2/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure system off the Hunter Coast is slowly moving eastwards as a high pressure centre in the Bight extends a ridge across New South Wales. The combination of these two systems is producing cool southerly winds across New South Wales and showers over coastal districts. As the low moves further away over the next couple of days the wind over New South Wales will turning southeasterly and temperatures will gradually rise. Coastal showers are expected to continue for the next few days. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayScattered showers near the coast, with isolated thunderstorms along the far north coast. Mostly dry elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds, fresh to strong and gusty along the coastal fringe.Sunday 3 FebruaryIsolated showers over the coastal districts in the south, more widespread along the coastal fringe. Dry and mostly sunny elsehwere. Southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh and gusty near the northern coast.Monday 4 FebruaryScattered showers about the coast and ranges, most likely along the coastal fringe during the morning and the eastern ranges during the afternoon. Morning fog patches in the east. Fine elsewhere. East to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 5 FebruaryIsolated showers about the coast and eastern ranges, more widespread in the north. Morning fog patches in the east. Fine elsewhere. Northeast to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 6 FebruaryIsolated showers along the coastal districts in the north, more widespread along the coastal fringe in the far north.
