Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 27/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large near-stationary high southwest of Perth will maintain a ridge over the Bight. A front will move over the south of the State today, with another front expected over the south on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers developing over the agricultural area and West Coast district during the morning, then contracting to southern coasts during the afternoon. Cool in the south grading to warm in the far north. Light to moderate southwest to northwest winds, ahead of a fresh southerly wind change, strong at times about the coasts, developing in the south early morning, extending northwards during the day.Tuesday 29 JanuaryFine apart from possible isolated light showers about southern coasts. Cool in the south grading to warm in the far north, with mainly moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 30 JanuaryFine apart from possible isolated light showers about southern coasts. Mild in the south grading to warm to hot over the pastoral and Flinders districts. Light to moderate southwest to southerly winds, turning west to northwesterly in the south.Thursday 31 JanuaryIsolated showers developing over the agricultural area and West Coast district during the day, scattered over the Lower South East and southern coasts during the morning. Cool in the south grading to warm to hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to northwest winds, ahead of a fresh southwesterly wind change, strong at times about the coasts, developing in the south early morning, extending northwards during the day. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday morning until midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 2 mm over the agricultural area and West Coast district, increasing to 2 to 5 mm about southern coasts and the Lower South East district.Friday until SundayThe chance of isolated showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts on Sunday. Continuing cool in the south grading to warm in the far north. Fresh southerly winds, easing during the weekend, turning south to southeasterly on Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
