Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 26/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large near-stationary high southwest of Perth will maintain a ridge over the south of the State with a series of weak fronts passing over southern waters during the week.
Forecast for the rest of SundayPossible isolated light showers about central coastal areas in the morning and western coasts late evening, otherwise mostly sunny. Cool to mild in the south, grading to hot in the north with moderate southerly winds, fresh at times.Monday 28 JanuaryIsolated showers over western coasts and areas south of about Cleve to the Barossa Valley to Naracoorte. Possible showers over remaining areas south of about Tarcoola to Peterborough to Lameroo, clearing in the evening. Generally mild, grading to warm to hot in the far northeast. Moderate to fresh southerly winds, strong at times about the coasts.Tuesday 29 JanuaryFine apart from possible isolated showers about southern and western coasts. Mild to warm, grading to hot in the far northeast. Mainly moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 30 JanuaryFine apart from isolated showers developing about southern coasts late in the day. Mild to warm, grading to warm to hot over pastoral districts. Light to moderate southwest to southerly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday afternoon until midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 2 mm with possible isolated falls of 2 to 5 mm about southern coasts.Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers over southern agricultural areas and the western coast, gradually clearing from the north late in the period. Cool to mild. Moderate southwesterly winds turning south to southeasterly and easing.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Sunday.Product IDS10033
