Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 23/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will move across the west of the State during this afternoon and evening, reaching a line Coober Pedy to Adelaide around midnight and the far northeast corner by Friday afternoon. A large near stationary high southwest of Perth will maintain a cool to mild southerly airstream over the State during the long weekend.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers about the Nullarbor Plain and western coasts in the evening. High cloud increasing from the west. Hot to very hot with mainly moderate northeast to northwest winds, ahead of a milder, fresh to strong southwest to southerly change in the far west early afternoon, reaching a line Coober Pedy to Adelaide around midnight. Areas of raised dust in the west with the change.Friday 25 JanuaryIsolated morning showers about southern coasts. Fine elsewhere. Very hot in the far northeast with light to moderate northeasterly winds turning southeasterly in the afternoon. A cooler fresh to strong south to southwesterly change over the remainder, easing to moderate to fresh southerly in the afternoon.Saturday 26 JanuaryPossible isolated light showers about southern coasts. Cool in the south, grading to warm in the north, with moderate to fresh southerly winds.Sunday 27 JanuaryPossible isolated light showers about southern coasts and parts of the Gulf Waters coasts. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the north with moderate southerly winds, fresh at times. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday morning until midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 2 mm.Monday until WednesdayIsolated showers over southern coasts and ranges and western coasts on Monday, then fine on Tuesday and Wednesday apart from possible isolated light coastal showers.
