MELBOURNE - Jan 22/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high ridging in south of the Bight will move southeastwards to be southeast of Tasmania late Wednesday. A cold front will move across the west of the State during Thursday afternoon and evening, reaching a line Adelaide to Coober Pedy around midnight and extend through the far northeast corner on Friday afternoon. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayPossible isolated light showers over the Lower South East coast and south coast of Kangaroo Island. Mild about southern coasts grading to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds.Wednesday 23 JanuaryPossible isolated light showers about southern coasts in the morning, otherwise fine. Mild to warm near southern coasts grading to hot in the north. Light to moderate southeast to east winds and moderate to fresh southerly afternoon coastal sea breezes.Thursday 24 JanuaryIsolated showers about the Nullarbor Plain and western coasts in the evening. High cloud increasing. Hot to very hot with mainly moderate northeast to northwest winds, ahead of a milder, fresh to strong southwest to southerly change in the far west early afternoon, reaching a line Adelaide to Coober Pedy around midnight.Friday 25 JanuaryIsolated morning showers about southern coasts. Fine elsewhere. Very hot in the far northeast with light to moderate northeast winds turning southeast in the afternoon. A cooler fresh to strong south to southwest change over the remainder, easing to moderate to fresh south to southeast in the afternoon.Saturday 26 JanuaryPossible isolated light morning showers about southern coasts, clearing in the evening. Cool in the south, grading to warm in the north, with moderate to fresh southerly winds.
