MELBOURNE - Jan 21/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A trough of low pressure over the far northeast of the State will contract northeast of the border during Tuesday. A high will ridge in south of the Bight during Tuesday and move southeastwards to be southeast of Tasmania late Wednesday. A cold front will move across most of the State during Thursday and through the far northeast on Friday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms over the far northeast of the State, clearing by evening. Partly cloudy in the south with possible isolated light showers after midday over the Lower South East coast and south coast of Kangaroo Island. Mild about southern coasts grading to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 23 JanuaryIsolated light showers about southern coasts in the early morning, otherwise fine. Mild to warm near southern coasts grading to hot in the north. Light to moderate southeast to east winds and moderate to fresh southerly afternoon coastal sea breezes.Thursday 24 JanuaryPossible isolated showers near southern and western coasts in the afternoon or evening. High cloud increasing. Hot to very hot with mainly moderate northeast to northwest winds, ahead of a milder, fresh to strong southwest to southerly change in the far west late morning, reaching a line Renmark to Marla late evening.Friday 25 JanuaryPossible isolated morning showers over the Lower South East coast. Fine elsewhere. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north with moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds.
