Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 20/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak trough lies over western New South Wales, and another off the northern coast, while a high over the southern Tasman Sea extends a ridge into the state's southeast. This high will move slowly east today, directing humid air into these troughs and generating unsettled weather across many districts, particularly those in the north of the state. A cold front passing to the south during Tuesday looks like bringing a brief southerly change across southern and western parts, before the next high becomes established over the Tasman Sea later in the week.

Northeast to southeast winds.Tuesday 22 JanuaryIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the north and east. Fine in the southwest. Hot day in the far west.
