Weather Situation A high 1021 hPa over Bass Strait will move east to be over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A cold front will move northeastwards across the west and far south of the State during Thursday and reach Moomba late Friday. Forecast for the rest of MondayFine. Areas of high cloud in the south. Mild about southern coasts grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds.Tuesday 15 JanuaryFine. Mostly sunny. Mild near southern coasts, warm to hot elsewhere. Light to moderate southeast to east winds and moderate to fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Wednesday 16 JanuaryFine apart from the chance of isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the far northeast. Hot grading to very hot in the far northwest. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and afternoon coastal sea breezes.Thursday 17 JanuaryThe chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms northeast of about Broken Hill to Woomera to Coober Pedy. Isolated showers developing over western coasts. Hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, ahead of a cooler fresh to strong south to southwest change extending across the west and far south.Friday 18 JanuaryIsolated showers extending throughout, tending scattered near the northern border and contracting to northeast of Woomera by late evening. Possible isolated thunderstorms northeast of Leigh Creek to Marla. Very hot in the northeast with light to moderate northeast winds. Milder with fresh southerly winds over the remainder. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday afternoon until midnight Friday are expected to be up to 2 mm with local falls of 5 to 10 mm with thunderstorms.Saturday until MondayIsolated showers and thunderstorms over the pastoral districts.
