MELBOURNE - Jan 14/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A trough has reached the far northeastern NSW with a high pressure ridge dominating most of the state. On Tuesday a high pressure system is expected to develop over the Tasman Seas with an inland trough lingering in the far west. Another mobile trough and frontal system is expected to reach the far southwest of the state late Thursday or on Friday before moving through the coast on Saturday. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers in the east and in the northern inland. The chance of thunderstorms over the northern ranges and inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Milder south to southeasterly winds extending throughout.Fire Danger - Very High: Northern Slopes, North Western, Far Western, Upper Central West Plains.Tuesday 15 JanuaryIsolated showers on the north coast. The chance of shower or thunderstorms over the northern inland and far northwest. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds.Wednesday 16 JanuaryIsolated showers in the far north.
