Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 14/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high south of Kangaroo Island moves east to be over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A cold front will move across the west and far south of the State during Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayFine apart from isolated early morning light showers over the Pastoral districts between Woomera and Coober Pedy. Mild about southern coasts grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds and afternoon coastal sea breezes.Tuesday 15 JanuaryFine. Mostly sunny. Mild near southern coasts, otherwise generally hot. Light to moderate southeast to east winds and moderate to fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Wednesday 16 JanuaryFine apart from the chance of isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the far northeast. Hot grading to very hot in the far northwest. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and afternoon coastal sea breezes.Thursday 17 JanuaryThe chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms northeast of about Leigh Creek. Isolated showers developing over western coasts. Hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, ahead of a cooler fresh to strong south to southwest change extending across the west and far south. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday morning until midnight Thursday are expected to be isolated falls up to 2 mm northeast of Leigh Creek and over western coasts on Thursday.Friday until SundayIsolated showers and thunderstorms over the northeast interior. Isolated showers elsewhere, clearing by Saturday, then developing in the west on Sunday. Becoming milder over the west and south with a southerly change, tending warm to hot easterly later in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
