MELBOURNE - Jan 13/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over the Bight will move across Bass Strait on Monday, to be located over the Tasman Sea by Tuesday where it will persist on Wednesday and Thursday. Meanwhile, high level cloud extends from Tropical Cyclone Narelle all the way across Australia to Victoria but will clear the State overnight. A cold front will reach western Victoria on Thursday night. Forecast for the rest of SundayCloudy with patchy rain, mainly over northern and far eastern districts, contracting eastward then clearing overnight. Light to moderate south to southwesterly winds, fresh about the coast.Monday 14 JanuaryFine apart from isolated showers along the Gippsland coast, clearing during the early afternoon. A cool to mild and partly cloudy day with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Fire Danger - Generally high.Tuesday 15 JanuaryFine and mostly sunny. Warm with light and variable winds inland and afternoon seabreezes near the coast.Wednesday 16 JanuaryFine and mostly sunny.
