Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 6/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of Mount Gambier will move eastwards, reaching the Tasman Sea during the day. A cold front will cross the southeast of the State on Tuesday as another high develops south of the Bight. This high will move eastwards reaching the Tasman Sea on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayDry apart from the chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms northeast of about Broken Hill to Coober Pedy early morning and after midday. Hot to very hot. Moderate southeast to easterly winds, fresh near ranges and southern coasts in the morning. Afternoon coastal sea breezes. Freshening southerly winds developing in the west later in the day.Tuesday 8 JanuaryFine apart from possible light showers about the southern coasts in the late afternoon or evening. Warm about southern coasts, hot to very hot elsewhere. Mainly moderate to fresh southerly winds.Wednesday 9 JanuaryFine apart from possible light showers about the southern coasts clearing by early afternoon. Mild to warm about the southern agricultural area, hot further north. Moderate to fresh southerly winds.Thursday 10 JanuaryDry. Warm about southern coasts, hot elsewhere. Light to moderate east to northeasterly winds and local afternoon coastal sea breezes. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday morning until midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 2 mm.Friday until SundayContinuing dry.
