MELBOURNE - Jan 4/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system west of the Bight will move east and strengthen, reaching the Tasman sea on Monday, followed by another high developing to the south of the State. A trough of low pressure will remain over northeastern parts of the State through to mid week. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayDry. Hot to very hot in the north, warm to hot in the south. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds, tending northerly over northern parts of the Northeast Pastoral district.Sunday 6 JanuaryDry. Warm about southern coasts, hot to very hot elsewhere. Mainly moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Monday 7 JanuaryDry and hot to very hot. Mainly moderate northeast to northerly winds, becoming southerly near the coasts during the afternoon or evening.Tuesday 8 JanuaryDry. Warm about southern coasts, hot to very hot elsewhere. Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning until midnight Tuesday are expected to be nil.Wednesday until FridayContinuing dry.
