Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 4/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system will remain over the Tasman Sea through to the weekend. A trough over the west and south will extend northeastwards to reach the Mid North and Riverland districts by late this evening. Another high will build over the Bight on Saturday then move southeastward later in the weekend, to be situated east of Tasmania on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayDry and very hot with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds ahead of a milder, fresh and gusty southerly change over the west and south, extending northeastwards to reach the Mid North and Riverland districts by late this evening. Areas of raised dust in the west with and behind the change.Saturday 5 JanuaryDry. Hot to very hot in the north, warm to hot in the south. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds.Sunday 6 JanuaryDry and hot to very hot. Mainly moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Monday 7 JanuaryDry and hot to very hot. Mainly moderate northeast to northerly winds, becoming southerly near the coasts during the afternoon or evening.Tuesday 8 JanuaryDry. Warm about southern coasts, hot to very hot elsewhere. Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon until midnight Tuesday are expected to be nil.Wednesday until FridayContinuing dry. Hot to very hot with southeasterly winds turning northerly ahead of a milder southerly change moving across the State later in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
