Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 3/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system will remain over the Tasman Sea through to the weekend. A trough will move across the State on Friday before another high builds over the Bight on Saturday then moves southeast later in the weekend, to be situated east of Tasmania on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayDry and hot. Light to moderate east to northeasterly winds, ahead of a milder, southerly change in the far west late evening.Friday 4 JanuaryDry and very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a milder, fresh and gusty southerly change extending across far western districts in the morning and central and eastern districts in the late afternoon or evening. Areas of raised dust over western districts and Yorke Peninsula. The chance of isolated dry thunderstorms west of Tarcoola in the afternoon or evening.Saturday 5 JanuaryDry. Hot to very hot in the north, warm to hot in the south. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds.Sunday 6 JanuaryDry and hot to very hot. Mainly moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Monday 7 JanuaryDry and hot to very hot. Mainly moderate northeast to northerly winds, becoming southerly near the coasts during the afternoon or evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday afternoon until midnight Monday are expected to be nil.Tuesday until ThursdayContinuing dry. Warm about southern coasts, grading to very hot in the north.
