MELBOURNE - Jan 2/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system will remain over the Tasman Sea today. A trough will move across the State on Friday before another high builds over the Bight on Saturday then moves southeast later in the weekend. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayDry and very hot. Light to moderate east to northeasterly winds, turning moderate to fresh northerly in the west, ahead of a milder, southerly change in the far west during the evening.Friday 4 JanuaryDry and very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a milder, fresh and gusty southerly change extending across western districts in the morning and central and eastern districts in the afternoon and evening. Areas of raised dust with the change in the west.Saturday 5 JanuaryFine with moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds. Hot to very hot in the north, warm to hot in the south.Sunday 6 JanuaryDry and hot to very hot with mainly moderate southeast to northeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday until midnight Sunday are expected to be negligible.Monday until WednesdayDry and hot to very hot. Mainly moderate northeast to northerly winds.
