Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 26/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak high pressure ridge will dominate over New South Wales coast on Thursday as a slow moving trough lingers inland. The trough is expected to start moving northeast from late Thursday or early Friday and cross most of the state by the end of Saturday. Sunday may see re-establishment of a ridge over the coast and an inland trough.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the far northern inland and the chance of early showers on the far north coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. North to northeast winds ahead of a late southerly change in the southwest.Friday 28 DecemberIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the north, mostly in the northeastern inland. The chance of showers or thunderstorms on the south coast and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southerly change moving through western, southern and central districts.Saturday 29 DecemberIsolated showers coast and adjacent ranges, possibly extending the northwest slopes. The chance of thunderstorms on the north coast and ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeasterly winds extending throughout.Sunday 30 DecemberIsolated showers coast and adjacent ranges, possibly extending the northwest slopes and plains.
