Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 26/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea will continue to move eastwards. A weak trough is expected to cross southern parts of the State early on Thursday ahead of another high pressure system, which will become established south of the Bight on Friday. This high is expected to remain near stationary during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayFine. Mild to warm. Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds. Moderate to fresh afternoon and early evening sea breezes.Thursday 27 DecemberFine day. Possible late evening light showers about the Lower South East coast. Mild to warm about the coasts, hot inland. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds and fresh afternoon sea breezes.Friday 28 DecemberFine apart from possible light morning showers about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds and fresh to strong afternoon sea breezes. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north.Saturday 29 DecemberFine apart from possible light showers developing about southern parts of the Lower South East Coast. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the north. Moderate southeasterly winds and afternoon sea breezes.Sunday 30 DecemberFine and mostly sunny. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the north. Moderate southeasterly winds and afternoon sea breezes. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday afternoon until midnight Sunday are expected to be less that 1 mm about southern coasts and nil elsewhere.Monday until WednesdayFine. Becoming warmer as winds turn northeasterly ahead of a milder southerly wind change late in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Thursday.Product IDS10033
