Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 25/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight will move slowly eastwards during Wednesday. A weak trough is expected to cross southern parts of the State early on Thursday as another high pressure system becomes established over the Bight on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayPossible isolated showers and thunderstorms over the far northeast otherwise fine and mostly sunny. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds strong at times about northern Spencer Gulf.Wednesday 26 DecemberFine and warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to easterly winds. Moderate to fresh afternoon sea breezes.Thursday 27 DecemberFine day. Possible late evening light showers about the Lower South East coast. Mild to warm about the coasts, hot inland.Friday 28 DecemberPossible light early morning showers about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast, otherwise fine. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north.Saturday 29 DecemberFine conditions. Moderate southeast to easterly winds. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the north. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon until midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 2 mm, possibly reaching 5 mm with thunderstorms in the far northeast corner.Sunday until TuesdayFine and mostly sunny conditions. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the north generally warming during the period with mainly moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
