Peas Enter Holiday Period on Firm Note
VANCOUVER - Dec 21/12 - SNS -- Field pea markets were unchanged to firmer in limited trading on account of tight supplies of green peas and diminished selling interest among yellow pea growers.
This reflects the fact most farmers and traders will be in holiday mode until at least the first week of January.
Limited trading was reported in U.S. and Canadian origin whole and split green peas, with many end users discovering their bids need to be "at the market" to tweak the interest of sellers.
