Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 18/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough lies over northeastern New South Wales. The trough will weaken during Wednesday as a high pressure system moves over the southern Tasman Sea extending a ridge to the north coast. Another trough will move through west and and southeast of the state on Thursday, then it will stall over the northeast on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the northeast. Possible late showers or thunderstorms in the far southwest. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Hot day in the west. Northeast to northwesterly winds.Fire Danger -  Very High in Southern Riverina, Southern Ranges Northern Slopes and Northwestern.Thursday 20 DecemberIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the northeast tending scattered in the far northeast. Isolated clearing showers in the southern inland. The chance of showers or thunderstorms on the south coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Hot northerly winds ahead of a milder southerly change in the west and southeast. Dangerous Surf Conditions developing along the coast.Friday 21 DecemberIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the northeast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds. Dangerous Surf Conditions along the coast.Saturday 22 DecemberIsolated showers in the northeastern and central parts. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
