Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 12/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system is slowly moving east across the southern Tasman Sea maintaining a ridge to northwestern New South Wales. During Saturday and Sunday a cold front/trough system will move across the state bringing unsettled conditions to most of the districts.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers along the northern coast and adjacent ranges, clearing in the afternoon. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northeast to southeasterly winds near the coast, and east to northeasterly winds inland.Fire Danger -  Very High in Upper Western.Friday 14 DecemberIsolated showers developing along Victorian border with the chance of thunderstorms in the far southwest. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds in the east, and northeast to northwesterly winds in the west. A late southerly change in the southwest.Saturday 15 DecemberShowers over the south and west, mainly near the Victorian border, possibly extending to central districts during the day. The chance of thunderstorms across the south and west. Remaining fine and hot in the northeast. North to northeasterly winds, late southwesterly change in the far southwest.Sunday 16 DecemberFine and partly cloudy in the far west and over parts of northern inland. The chance of showers over the remainder, more likely in the southeast. The chance of thunderstorms over western and southeastern parts. North to northeasterly winds ahead of a south to southwesterly change reaching central parts by the end of the day.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Thursday.Product IDN10031
