Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 11/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system east of Tasmania extends a strengthening ridge across the Tasman Sea as it moves slowly east. A low pressure trough over inland New South Wales is being pushed further west due to the movement of the high, and is expected to clear the western border by Wednesday. A second trough, currently off the northern and central coasts, is expected to weaken after crossing the coast later today. Thursday and Friday will see mostly fine conditions due to the presence of a ridge over the region, with most areas becoming warmer as winds turn more northerly. A cold front may generate unsettled conditions as it crosses the state during the weekend.
