MELBOURNE - Dec 9/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over the Bight will move slowly eastwards to be centred near Tasmania late Monday then over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday and Wednesday. A weak trough of low pressure will develop over the far west on Wednesday then move across the State on Thursday and Friday. Forecast for the rest of SundayAreas of cloud with possible isolated light showers in the northwest. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds.Monday 10 DecemberFine apart from possible isolated showers in the far northwest. Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds. Mild about southern coasts, grading to hot in the north.Tuesday 11 DecemberFine apart from possible isolated showers in the far west. Warm to hot about the coasts, grading to very hot in the far northeast. Moderate east to southeasterly winds, fresh at times.Wednesday 12 DecemberIsolated showers west of about Nullarbor and possible showers and thunderstorms developing over the Northeast Pastoral district east of Leigh Creek. Hot to very hot with southeasterly winds turning northeasterly in the west.Thursday 13 DecemberIsolated showers extending over most of the state apart from eastern parts of the Northeast Pastoral district and Riverland. Hot to very hot with moderate northerly winds.
