Weather Situation A high pressure system south of the Bight will cross Tasmania on Monday night, then will move slowly east across the Tasman Sea on Tuesday and Wednesday. Meanwhile a trough will begin to develop over South Australia on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the east, contracting eastwards and clearing during the morning. Mild and mostly sunny over the north. Cooler in the south with areas of cloud during the morning, then a mostly sunny afternoon. Moderate to fresh southwest to southerly winds.Fire Danger - Very High in the north.Monday 10 DecemberFine apart from possible morning drizzle over far eastern Gippsland. Mild to warm and mostly sunny in the north but cooler in the south. Light to moderate southeasterly wind and fresh afternoon seabreezes.Tuesday 11 DecemberFine apart from local morning fog over Gippsland. Mainly sunny.
