MELBOURNE - Nov 29/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A slow-moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is directing hot and humid northerly winds into a weak low pressure trough over western New South Wales. Another trough will approach the state from the southwest tomorrow. This trough and an associated cooler southerly change is expected to move slowly across the state over the weekend, reaching the northeast late on Sunday. Hot conditions are expected to continue ahead of the trough. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers and thunderstorms over the ranges and in the southwest. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Hot inland. Northwest to northeast winds.Friday 30 NovemberIsolated showers and thunderstorms across the southern inland, and about the ranges and coast later. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Hot to very hot inland. Northeast to northwesterly winds.Fire Danger - Severe Northern Riverina.
