Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 28/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is directing hot and humid winds into a broad low pressure trough over western New South Wales. During today and Thursday the trough will move to the northeast and weaken as another trough approaches the state from the southwest. This trough is expected to move across most districts during Friday before stalling over the northeast on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayShowers and thunderstorms in central and eastern district. Partly cloudy in the west. Northeast to southeasterly winds near the coast, tending light and variable inland.Thursday 29 NovemberIsolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the northeast, and the chance of showers on the central coast and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Hot to very hot inland. Northwest to northeast winds.Friday 30 NovemberShowers or patchy rain across the southern half, mainly near the Victorian border, with the chance of thunderstorms. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Hot to very hot. Northeast to northwesterly winds.Saturday 1 DecemberPartly cloudy in the northeast. Isolated showers showers with the chance of thunderstorms elsewhere. Hot to very hot north to northwest winds turning milder southerly in the south.Sunday 2 DecemberPartly cloudy in the southwest. Isolated showers with the chance of thunderstorms elsewhere.
