MELBOURNE - Nov 26/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A slow-moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea directs hot and humid winds into a low pressure trough over western New South Wales. During Wednesday and Thursday the trough will move to the northeast and weaken as another trough approaches the state from the southwest. This trough is expected to move across the state on Friday before stalling over the northeast on Saturday. Forecast for the rest of MondayPartly cloudy in the northwest. Isolated showers or thunderstorms in the remainder, mostly in the east. Northeast to northwesterly winds, before a weak southerly change in the south.Tuesday 27 NovemberIsolated showers and thunderstorms mostly in the east. Hot to very hot inland. Northerly winds in the north. Southerly winds in the south.Fire Danger - Very High in: Northwestern and Northern Rivers.Wednesday 28 NovemberIsolated showers in the northeast and on the southern and central ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Hot to very hot inland. Northerly winds.Thursday 29 NovemberIsolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms on the north coast and ranges and the chance of showers on the central coast and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Hot to very hot inland. Northwest to northeast winds.Friday 30 NovemberIsolated showers in the southern half with the chance of thunderstorms inland near Victorian boarder. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Hot to very hot inland.
