MELBOURNE - Nov 22/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough is expected to remain over northeast New South Wales during Friday, while a high pressure system moves across the south. This high will strengthen over the Tasman Sea on the weekend, directing increasingly warm and humid air over the state. A second trough will enter the south later Sunday and Monday, before moving towards the northeast mid-week. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the northeast, mainly about the tablelands. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Saturday 24 NovemberIsolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the northeast. Fine and partly cloudy remainder. Hot day in the west. Variable winds inland. Freshening northeasterly winds near the coast.Sunday 25 NovemberIsolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the northeast and in the far southeast. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Chiefly north to northeasterly winds.Monday 26 NovemberThe chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the northeast, and showers developing across the southeast later. Fine and hot elsewhere.
