Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 21/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system just south of the Bight will move slowly eastwards across southern Victoria on Thursday. The high will lie to the east of Victoria on Friday and Saturday, moving to near the north island of New Zealand on Sunday. A weak low pressure trough will move into western Victoria during Saturday as a weakening cold front clips southern Tasmania. The trough will be slow moving across the State on Sunday as another front approaches Tasmania.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayMild and partly cloudy in the south, warm and sunny in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southerly winds, fresh at times along the coastal fringe.Fire Danger -  Locally high in the north.Friday 23 NovemberFine after early fog patches in the south. Mild to warm inland with light winds but cooler near the coast with afternoon seabreezes.Saturday 24 NovemberFine. Warm to hot inland with moderate northwesterly winds. Milder near the coast with afternoon seabreezes.Sunday 25 NovemberIsolated afternoon showers in the east. Hot inland with moderate northwesterly winds.
