MELBOURNE - Nov 19/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough over northeastern New South Wales is moving east, deepening and extending over the western Tasman Sea. The trough will weaken today as a high pressure system east of Tasmania strengthens a ridge over remainder of the state. The next trough/frontal system is expected to move through the state during Wednesday and Thursday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayScattered showers along the coast and east ranges, contracting to the north coast and ranges by the afternoon then clearing. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to southeast winds.Wednesday 21 NovemberIsolated late showers and thunderstorms on the far south coast and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Light winds in the northeast. Northwest to northeasterly winds elsewhere turning south to southwesterly in the west and south.Thursday 22 NovemberIsolated showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges with the chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds extending throughout.Friday 23 NovemberIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the far northeast. Fine elsewhere.
