MELBOURNE - Nov 19/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high situated over the Tasman Sea is moving eastwards. A trough of low pressure will move from the west, across most of the State today before moving into the far northeast on Wednesday. A new high will develop over the Bight on Wednesday and move eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea on Saturday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayHot and windy. Possible gusty thundery showers extending across much of the State from the west. Fresh to strong and gusty northerly winds ahead of a southwest to southerly change reaching Ceduna late morning, Yorke Peninsula late afternoon, and the Flinders and North East Pastoral districts late evening. Areas of raised dust in the west.Wednesday 21 NovemberPossible isolated showers about coastal areas and possible thundery showers about the North West Pastoral, Flinders, Mid North, Riverland, and Murraylands districts, all clearing during the day. Mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh southerly winds extending over the State during the day.Thursday 22 NovemberFine apart from possible isolated showers and thunder in the far northwest. Mild in the south, warm in the north. Generally moderate south to southeasterly winds.Friday 23 NovemberPossible isolated showers and thunder in the far west. Warm to hot with light to moderate easterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday through to midnight Friday are expected to be up to 2 mm, mostly occurring during today. Isolated falls of 2 to 10 mm with thunderstorms.Saturday until MondayPossible isolated showers extending across the State from the west.
