MELBOURNE - Nov 18/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high south of the State will move eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea on Monday. A trough of low pressure will move from the west across most of the State during Tuesday before moving into the far northeast on Wednesday. A new high will develop over the Bight on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayFine and mostly clear. A generally mild evening with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds, turning east to northeasterly in the west.Monday 19 NovemberPossible isolated showers and thunder developing in the far west from late afternoon. Hot to very hot in the north and west, warm elsewhere. Moderate southeast to northeast winds becoming fresh northeast to northerly in the west, ahead of a southwesterly change over the Nullarbor late evening.Tuesday 20 NovemberFine over the North East Pastoral. Possible isolated showers and thunder gradually extending from the west across most remaining districts. Warm to hot with fresh to strong northerly winds ahead of a southwest to southerly change reaching central parts by early evening. Areas of raised dust in the west.Wednesday 21 NovemberPossible isolated showers about coastal areas and possible isolated showers and thunder in the north and east, all clearing during the day. Mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh southerly winds extending over the State during the day.Thursday 22 NovemberPossible isolated showers over southern coasts during the morning. Possible isolated showers and thunder in the far northwest. Mild in the south, warm in the north. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday until midnight Thursday are expected to be up to 2 mm, mostly occurring on Tuesday and into Wednesday. Isolated falls of 2 to 10 mm with thunderstorms.Friday until SundayPossible isolated showers developing in the far west, extending eastwards to about Yorke Peninsula and Kangaroo Island by late Saturday, and reaching the eastern border Sunday.
