Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 17/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough lies over northeastern New South Wales. During Sunday this trough will move to the far northeast of the state and it will extend over the far western Tasman Sea and deepen. The trough will weaken on Monday as a high pressure system east of Tasmania strengthen a ridge to the north coast. The next trough/front system is expected to move through the state during Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the northeast tending scattered the afternoon. Isolated showers and the chance of thunderstorms on the south and central coasts and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeasterly winds tending east to northeasterly near the north and central coasts.Monday 19 NovemberIsolated showers about the coast and ranges. Fine elsewhere. East to southeast winds.Tuesday 20 NovemberIsolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges with the chance of thunderstorms in the far north and in the far south. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to southeast winds.Wednesday 21 NovemberIsolated late showers on the far south coast and isolated early showers on the central coastal fringe. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Light winds in the northeast. Northwest to northeasterly winds elsewhere turning south to southwesterly.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Sunday.Product IDN10031
