France Pea Export Pace Remains Slow

VANCOUVER - Nov 16/12 - SNS -- Field pea export movement from France maintained its slow pae during September, with shipments falling below beoth month and year-earlier levels, according to the latest data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).

Export shipments in September totalled 11,140 metric tons (MT), down from the 12,015 shipped in August, and well below the 32,335 MT shipped the same month last year. This lifts export shipments so far this marketing year to 31,270 MT, down 64% from the same period last season.
